Our assessments are built to be checkable. This page describes how a rating comes to exist on Lighthouse Jaipur and what it does — and does not — claim.
Rating model
Each operator is scored on six documented criteria: Game Selection, Sportsbook Coverage, User Experience, Payment Experience, Transparency and Support Quality, each on a 1.0–10.0 scale in 0.1 steps. The overall rating is the weighted average of those sub-scores. The weights are part of our editorial configuration, reviewed periodically — not hard-coded into page templates — so a methodology change updates every review consistently.
Verification statuses
- Verified — the record was checked by the research desk against primary sources; only these entries are presented as editorial assessments or carry review markup.
- Placeholder / Unverified — demonstration values used during platform development, always labelled “Demo data” when displayed at all.
- Needs Verification — factual claims awaiting confirmation; treated as provisional.
Sources and dates
State guides cite their sources on the page. Every research page shows when it was last updated and, where applicable, when it was last editorially reviewed; a listicle’s headline month reflects the date of the last actual review, not the date you load the page.
Legal baseline
All content is read against the legal position at the time of writing: gambling is primarily a state subject in India, and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (in force since 1 May 2026) prohibits online money games nationwide. A historical state licence is never treated as evidence that online play is permitted today.
