Availability and restrictions

RBI rules restrict Indian cards in several high-risk categories, and issuers routinely decline gambling-coded (MCC 7995) transactions; international usage controls apply. Legal note: since 1 May 2026 the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits online money games in India and bars financial facilitation of them, so Indian payment rails must not be assumed available for gambling transactions. We never claim gambling-payment availability for a method unless specifically verified.

Security & compliance

Tokenisation mandated by RBI for online storage; 3-D Secure OTP on every online transaction.
